Monkeypox Virus Information
Overview
With the August 3, 2022 announcement by Eastern Idaho Public Health that the first positive cases of the Monkeypox virus have been verified in Eastern Idaho, we wanted to quickly provide information and resources for all of our Idaho patients and providers.
Testing
To test for the Monkeypox virus, call your primary healthcare provider for an examination. Your provider will assess your condition and collect a sample for testing.
Information Updates
As with any new virus, the published information will likely have frequent updates so the best sources of information are the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
